Aborrebjerget Dark Sky Star Spot
Aborrebjerget is Møn's highest point (143 m), and with the open 360-degree view, it is one of the absolute best places to enjoy the starry sky on Møn.The path up to Aborrebjerg can be found in the Jydelejet at the first red gate, which can be seen on the right side of the road track approx. 50m from the entrance.
Try to experience the moon's decline and see how clear the Milky Way becomes after the Moon disappears below the horizon. A great experience - and a great place!
The tightly packed starry sky over Møn and Nyord is unique. That is why Møn and Nyord were named as the Nordic region's first Dark Sky Park and Community. In a Dark Sky Park, the night darkness is protected from local light pollution, so you have the best and clearest view of the starry sky.
